It has not been a good week for the manipulative and insulting Labour lie that the Windrush Generation rebuilt Britain after the War. It is factually incorrect, of course. If we actually look at the available statistics, Caribbean women got jobs in the NHS while the menfolk worked as bus conductors and in other positions in the transport industry. Black men did not rebuild Britain; British men did that. Blacks worked in services.
