Are you consuming “Nostalgia Porn”? Do you watch videos from the 1980s or 1990s – when Britain was a safe, relatively united and an overwhelming British country where the idea of foreign government ministers, let alone a Prime Minister, was insane and repellent – and think, “Hmm, life looks like it was rather better back then.” According to a very turgid and meandering piece in The Guardian (where else?) entitled “‘I feel like I’m losing her’: the families torn apart by older relatives going far right,” this is a growing and very dangerous problem.
