What causes such madness?

As a parent, I now want my wife to carry some sort of self-defence tool. I can't even do that, because for some reason in Australia it is illegal to purchase or carry anything for the purpose of self-defence. You cannot buy pepper spray, or body armour, or anything. We must be defenceless in a multicultural city. Complete madness. I so hope everyone survives.

So what explains the extreme xenophilia and outgroup preference among Western elites that emerged among intellectuals etc. in the early 20th century, and then became the dominant ideology among the cultural establishment? The ideology of mandatory cosmopolitanism that extends to literally importing people to deliberately create it where it doesn't exist? To deliberately throw people into an evolutionary mismatch situation even if the masses make it clear they do not want it? Saw a video a while back with some London kids talking about how Wales needed to import black people because it was "too white". Is this just post-industrial revolution Spiteful Mutants all the way down?
