If you watch and listen to the full speech, he says: "my heart goes out to you" and proceeds to metaphorically grab his heart and throw it out to the crowd. The elevated angle is because there was very high seating in the auditorium. That's all. He was actually throwing his heart out. He proceeded to turn around and do something similar to the people behind him, but that was more of a throwing gesture and so the Leftie MSM didn't publish that photo/clip.

Musk's brain is full of ideas around rockets, AI, brain chips, saving western civilization and Mars. I don't think he even has time to choreograph his moves. He's a geeky engineer on the spectrum. He made an awkward gesture without the benefit of hindsight. That's the way I see it and I think that's the way most also see it - even on the Left.

When I watched it live, I just knew the fake news, Soros/WEF aligned MSM propaganda machine would pick up on it. And, predictably, they did. The radical left have no winnable arguments. They can only resort to i) lies, ii) defamation, iii) censorship. The goal of the modern radical left is to engineer serial crises where all prescribed 'solutions' are more centralised control, less freedom. Modern day feudalism.

The biggest risk now is the privatisation of AI, because when that is accelerated, you will be told their version of history, how to think, not to think for yourself, not to educate yourself, not to work, to be reliant on the state, to be on drugs, to go to more forever wars to fight so the privatised defence companies can continue to get rich (war = peace, remember?). Project Stargate is China-style surveillance 101 in the west and as usual they disguise it with positive connotations such as the potential to 'treat' (not cure) cancer (among others). In reality it is 1984 but in 2025 onwards.

The globalists want to replicate the China surveillance state (ultimately moving towards Xinjiang levels of surveillance and control). They do it my making small steps, co-opt icons to influence the 'plebs', use Hollywood, use the media - all to lie and cover up the true course and final destination.

And now the latest lie is this 'alien threat'. We are suddenly getting 'disclosure' rammed down our throats after decades of cover ups and illegal, secret projects to use advanced tech for nefarious purposes. They will use a false flag 'alien threat' to (try to) militarise space and push for more global coordination to 'fight aliens' (when there is zero evidence over millennia that ETs are in any way hostile). This is the theme for Trump 2.0 and beyond and it looks like members of the incoming cabinet are going to be gaslit towards this direction.

Privatised AI and mass surveillance.

Fighting a faked alien 'threat'.

bro, musk did the motion twice. he knows exactly how the media would interpret the movements.

Nope, sorry - but there's zero chance of that. He's just an excited engineer making an innocent gesture to the crowd as I described above. You have to be i) an engineer and ii) on the spectrum to really understand.

Also, the Nazis emerged from a hard socialist party. They're socialists with echoes of communism. Musk is centre right. Very different.

Is it possible that the gesture is an automatic human response to certain emotions much like the BLM fist? The Romans and fascist types hijacked it just as BLM put a glove on the fist.

I note that Hitler ended up doing the little short arm version to avoid poking people's eyes out. Much like the Brit army full salute needs space, lots of space.

Yes, also the Swastika is an ancient symbol of prosperity and good fortune in Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism etc.

Hitler and the Nazis borrowed it (at a slightly different angle).

So are Buddhists fascists? lol

Survive the Jive gave a different account of how Hitler chose it.

Hitler was a fan of the occult and ancient civilisations/knowledge. He funded scientific parties that would scour India for ancient Vedic texts. He believed there were several very advanced human civilisations in pre history that were destroyed in cataclysms, with knowledge kept in ancient scrolls in key sites all over the world. Knowledge he actively sought out and took very seriously. I think the link to India was the inspiration behind the use of their ancient symbol.

I think Tom explains the germanic origins of the symbol.

Ah, ok.

The symbol was in circulation far longer than it was in Asia and plenty of them are the exact orientation and dimensions as Hitler’s flag

Ed, I love your content. But you're utterly wrong on this one. Did you watch the video with sound? He said, "My heart goes out to you," and grabbed his heart to throw it to the crowd.

This is the most obvious manufactured outrage I've ever seen, and you fell for it buddy.

musk did the offending motion twice using crisp militant movements. a gesture of the heart is slow and soft. he knew exactly what he was doing and the sensational media coverage that would follow.

Expand full comment

Nonsense, he's known to be awkward. The whole speech he gave was awkward and unprepared. This is just manufactured outrage.

If I were metaphorically "giving out my heart" I would do it with 2 hands and they would be cupped.

Expand full comment

Ok, but he used one hand. He spread his fingers even. And his hand was not straight with the palm down at the end. And he literally said those words after making the gesture.

This whole thing is so dumb.

i really hope he keeps getting away with it and becomes one of us :DD <33333333333

My eyes saw him throw his heart out to the crowd, along with what he said before any gesturing.

He said it after the gesture, but ya, live I didn't think anything of it. The left is just seeing what they want to see.

HAIL THE GLORIOUS LEADER!

That was ridiculas Ed. It was NOT a Nazi salute. Do a bit more research as to what's involved with the Nazi salute and you'll see you've let your imagination take control.

Amusing to see Ed's comments section lighting up like a Reddit post suggesting that Biden doesn't have the mental acuity of the average Oxbridge grad

Another possibility, he's an avid gamer , was he copying the gesture from one of his fave games ? It is a roman salute, not a nazi salute .

I believe Elon is a believer in eugenics. If that's true, he could deploy a fraction of his wealth and completely change the world through eugenic, voluntary sterilizations: https://childfreebc.com/candidates. Africa, India, China... the majority of the world's underclass... sterilized. Imagine how the world would look in 20 years? A utopia.

Well, there is already no shortage of billionaires doing this in secret: but to everyone. Gates, Soros et al.

Are you say he is apart of the group that wants bring the world population down to 180 million people?

It’s definitely a Nazi solute.

It does make sense to me that he’s idealising a golden age that embodies virtues such as strength i.e. A strong American workforce that prospers.

I can imagine an Autistic like Elon having an almost fetishistic appreciation for images of strong Nazi Soldiers Marching with their rifles on their shoulders… Aren’t autistic often extremely fixated and fascinated by routine, rules and order? Anyway maybe in the moment whilst on stage such an image came to his mind and he imitated the Nazi gesture out of appreciation for the qualities those marching soldiers embodied.

Expand full comment

No, it's not. He accompanied the gesture with the words "my heart goes out to you." His fingers are spread on the left side of his chest, as if he's grabbing his heart, as he does it.

Expand full comment

I disagree, I believe he clearly didn’t intend for it to be a Nazi salute however as Ed has suggested maybe it is a quirk of his Autism and that’s the expression he made as he did express his gratitude and appreciation… He has been renowned for being terribly awkward on stage, it wouldn’t surprise me if this was a accident on his part and it’s just his awkwardness.

I'm fine with any of those reasons. Whatever jolts those dolts into self-immolation is worth whatever negative repercussions there might be from the "right" side.

musk knows what he's doing, as trump knows what he's doing when he releases a scam cryptocurrency which he directly profits from at the expense of the people buying an "investment" with their credit cards.

these guys think what they're doing is cute and funny. they're not thinking through the chaos their actions are causing in the lives of individual people. at best, you might argue that musk and trump are setting a standard for "unpredictability" to woo and frighten foreign leaders into preemptive capitulation. at worst, they're mentally unstable grifters. there's substantial reason to argue either of the above conclusions.
