Daily Telegraph journalist Tim Stanley has provoked the ire of the “based” right by proclaiming that there can be no reversal of mass immigration and the leadership of Nigerian anchor baby Kemi Badenoch – whose birth-right citizenship derives from a law that was abolished a year after her birth and who didn’t live in England until she was 16 – is wonderful because it reflects modern Britain and implies that this foreigner has fallen in love with Britishness. Stanley correctly notes that Badenoch’s position possibly allows her to perceive Britain’s problems with greater clarity precisely because she is an outsider. But, for me, Stanley raises a more salient question, which I’ve also looked at in a video: Why do we have so many converts in public life?

I used to have a soft spot for the Conservative former Business Secretary Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg. I admired the way that this Eton-educated politician didn’t try to play down the fact that he was upper class but, rather, accepted it, regardless of the mockery his old-fashionedcountry squire persona provoked. As a rule, I have also found that he is skilled at presenting reasoned arguments, but this has fallen apart when it comes to his two recent videos which insist that anyone can become English and even that the essence of Englishness is wearing a heavy suit at the height of a hot summer.

Photographs are currently emerging from Russia of empty shelves in supermarkets. Assuming they are genuine, these photographs include signs, in both Russian and English, telling people not to photograph what they see, as this information may “help the enemy.” Inthe de facto Woke authoritarian and failed state of Britain, it appears that a similar mind set has emerged. Woke people do not want you to film the degradation and chaos that inevitably arrives once a town becomes dominated by foreigners who don’t see England as their heritage to care for and who, compared to the native population, are low in altruism and impulse control. Indeed, such people are more likely to regard themselves as invaders, motivated to defile England in order to demoralise the natives and assert power over them.

I had very interesting conversation last night, which will be published in due course, with the former hockey player and current evolutionary psychologist J.D. Haltigan. We have very similar research interests, including the connection between personality disorders and political leanings. In trying to understand why society has polarised, and done so with such speed, he made a remark which stuck in my mind. Social media, he said, has acted as the great “thresher.”

I am a Jamaican and also a libertarian, and for most of my life those two things sat together comfortably. Clear the field, get the state out of the way, and let people rise or fall on their own talent and effort. That was the whole of my creed on this subject, and I held it for years without much testing. Growing up somewhere opportunity really was scarce, and where the state really did get in the way, made the theory feel obvious rather than naive. I no longer hold it, at least not in the form most conservatives and libertarians still do, and I think it is worth saying why.

I have had academic disagreements with Nathan Cofnas, specifically over the Culture of Critique, expounded by Kevin MacDonald, which argues that Jews are higher in ethnocentrism and, consequently, are significant players in anti-nationalist intellectual movements. I am cautiously receptive to the idea, whereas Cofnas, who is Jewish, thinks that any Jewish over-representation is explained overwhelmingly by Ashkenazi higher intelligence. Even so, I think he is to be applauded for highlighting the mendacious behaviour of Jason Arday and, by extension, forcing the excesses of Woke – its destruction and corruption of formerly serious institutions – into the public consciousness.

The Jewish Question has roared back into the center of public discourse with unmistakable urgency. This dramatic revival stems squarely from Israel’s recent wars against Palestinian militants and Iran, coupled with America’s unwavering military and diplomatic support for the Jewish state. These explosive conflicts have thrown Israel’s profound influence on U.S. foreign policy into the unforgiving spotlight, fueling heated arguments about lobbying power, conflicting allegiances, and the true limits of open criticism. Consider Joe Kent’s high-profile resignation as a senior advisor in the Trump sphere: he stepped down because he boldly asserted that America’s entanglement in the Iran war owed far more to Israeli pressure than to any genuine national interest. His unfiltered verdict struck like lightning and spread like wildfire across the internet.

If Jason Arday, Cambridge University’s Professor of the Sociology of Education, didn’t exist then those of us who oppose the Woke tyranny that has throttled freedom of thought for so long would have to invent him. This heavily dread-locked black Walter Mitty, who was appointed a full professor at Cambridge at the age of just 37, is almost beautiful – perfect – in the way that he verifies every claim that critics of Woke have ever made. Of course, he was appointed over a better candidate solely because he was black; that goes without saying. A large body of research – which I have set out in Making Sense of Race – demonstrates that, with an average IQ of 85, it is witheringly unlikely that a black man could ever be a professor on merit.

On June 8, 2026, an African man named Hadi Alodid launched an unprovoked knife attack in Belfast, leaving one person blind. While details about Alodid remain scarce, the facts of the case suggest that he could be suffering from mental instability. However, unstable black men committing knife attacks is not an anomaly. For example, in 2020, Zephaniah Mcleod, a black man diagnosed with schizophrenia, killed a man and injured others in a stabbing spree in Birmingham. Furthermore, earlier this year, another black man, Anthony Esan, who is also schizophrenic, attempted to behead a soldier. Each of these incidents individually shocked the public. Taken together, they form a troubling pattern that demands explanation rather than reflexive condemnation of those who notice it.

Imagine the unbridled fury you must feel to walk up to 78 year-old lady who is sitting on a chair eating her lunch and strike her over the head with a hammer. Even if you are a committed Communist who despises the Reform Party, for which she is a leading spokeswoman, as fundamentally evil, imagine that this strike over the head is simply notsufficient to sate your resentment and bloodlust. So you strike her over the head a further twenty times, as she slumps, dead, over her kitchen table, for she is so trusting that you have been able to simply walk into her isolated bungalow.

When I heard about the death of former Conservative Minister Ann Widdecombe, from a friend of her friend last Thursday, and even when I heard that she had been murdered, I assumed it would just be another shot fired in our low-level civil war. I didn’t realise that the murder of the former Shadow Home Secretary cum celebrity would be a further step in the direction of actual civil war, but so it has turned out.

The British government has decided that it wants to strangle Youtube content creators whom it can’t control. As it increasingly loses control of “the narrative,” and of society more broadly, it is forcing YouTube to prioritise Orwellian-sounding “trusted” content providers, such as the BBC and Channel 4, in an attempt to ensure that its manipulative and dishonest propaganda takes hold of more minds. This is crucial because, as we all know, only old people watch television these days and, with society degenerating into warring factions, the government has to do something to suppress content that does not promote the Big Lie of multicultural unity.

As the Yookay degenerates into a third world tyranny, it was inevitable that I, as a public dissenter from this tyranny, would eventually experience a run-in with the authorities and I am now free to talk about what happened. In March, I was in the country making a film about the decline of Luton, the home of such luminaries as Tommy Robinson and Stacey Dooley. The once significant industrial town north of London had been the home to the Vauxhall car plant but this had recently closed down, resulting in many people losing their jobs. The town may well be the worst place I’ve ever been to in the UK.

A lot of people seem to think that I am a eugenicist. I am not a eugenicist and in my book Breeding the Human Herd: Eugenics, Dysgenics and the Future of the Species I have specifically argued against eugenics, noting that such a policy may have unintended consequences. I have, however, brought together the abundant evidence for dysgenics – that under heavily weakened conditions we are becoming genetically less intelligent and mentally and physically healthy. In the fact-value conflation mind of the hysterical leftist, I suppose that must mean I am “against dysgenics” and thus “pro-eugenics.” I cannot begin to follow this lack of logic, but I will say this: sometimes a court case comes up which just screams “dysgenics” and just such a case has come up.

When I was about 10, I had what I thought was a brilliant idea. Some people from Ireland – the IRA – come to England and set off bombs, killing English people. Surely, the solution isto ban people from Ireland, whether north or south, from coming to England. My mothercountered that my neighbour’s friendly son-in-law Sean was from Ireland and I liked him. But, I reasoned, this was a price worth paying, harsh as it may be. I wonder if what has just happened in Northern Ireland will push more of the people there, and throughout the UK, towards thinking in this necessarily harsh and unfair way.

Wes Streeting, the former Health Secretary who is looking to challenge British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer for the premiership, has declared that “Social Media is the New Smoking.” Apparently, it is highly addictive (who’d have guessed that a highly pro-social and inquisitive species would become addicted to the dopamine hit of constant interaction and information?), it is particularly addictive for children, it has driven some children to suicide, and doctors regard banning it for under-16s as being as obvious for safety as using seat belts in cars.

I know I wrote last week about Angela Rayner and perhaps you might think I am obsessed with this ginger school drop-out, but events are moving fast in the UK and, at the time of writing, there genuinely is the insane prospect of Angela Rayner – born into the underclass and a mother at 16 - becoming Prime Minister. Her ascent seems to reflect the lunacy that you should simply “believe what women say.” But since autumn I have been working on a book on a sub-section of women, around 3% of them, whom you probably should not believe, and that is women who have Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). As far as I can see, Big Ange, like a fair few women who reach positions of power, is among their number.

In the mid-1990s, before mass-immigration dominated everything, there was a moral panic in the English-speaking world about teenage mums. Usually from families who were long-term unemployed, these young girls would get pregnant, often below the age of sexual consent, allowing them to drop out of school, jump the social housing list and likely live off benefits for the foreseeable future. I knew a girl at primary school, whose parents actually seemed quite middle class, who had her first child at 14, and had three kids when I ran into her on a bus aged 19.

The German Democratic Republic, East Germany; the GDR . . . those words conjure up images of the most repressive of all of the Communist states: files kept on most of the citizens, being subjected to constant Marxist propaganda; people avoiding striking up conversations with strangers, let alone expressing their opinions to them, lest the stranger be one of the nation’s army of volunteer snitches: a country governed be fear. Yet as I made my way to the Medieval town of Gotha to speak at a conference of fellow “based” people, I began to think about how, in many ways, this former Eastern Bloc country is less like a Communist state than Britain, which still sings of being the “mother of the free.”
